Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Vice President of Global Sourcing to drive the enterprise level sourcing strategy. This critical role will be responsible for architecting and enabling best-in-class sourcing capabilities that are innovative, flexible, and meet the changing needs of consumers, suppliers, and partners. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, leadership experience, and the ability to modernize the sourcing function to support the company's rapid growth and global ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the global sourcing strategy and roadmap
- Lead the evolution of sourcing architecture to enable emerging technologies and advanced materialization for lifestyle products
- Collaborate across the business to drive sourcing solutions that enable product creation strategy
- Build a competitive advantage by enhancing the sourcing business infrastructure through an Operational Excellence model
- Design an effective operating model to attract, retain, and develop a high-performing, diverse, and globally dispersed sourcing team
- Manage the complete sourcing development lifecycle, from defining requirements to implementing new features in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 20+ years of global trade/sourcing experience in a premium brand CPG industry, with at least 5 years in a senior global leadership role
- 15+ years leading teams delivering sourced apparel, soft goods, and formed steel goods
- Strong proficiency in multi-site manufacturing operations, sourcing, negotiations and contract manufacturing relationship management
- Experience managing large globally dispersed teams of 50-100 people
- Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, Business, Economics, Textile Management, or related field / equivalent experience
- Fluency in Chinese or Spanish is a bonus
- Base salary range: $260,000 - $280,000
- Performance-based bonus available
- Equity compensation package available
Location
- Seattle, WA (with global travel requirements). Relocation will be provided for the right candidate
